My name is Helena Kubica and I am 21 years old and I am currently a Graphic Design student at Mediacollege in Amsterdam. I’m Polish, but I will be living in the Netherlands for the time being.
Besides doing Graphic design for my study, I do have some time for myself and during that time I love to draw for myself!
The art of digital illustration has wrapped me around its finger and I strongly believe that it is meant to be.
I specialise in mainly Photoshop, but I believe I have gotten the hang of Illustrator and Indesign as well.
Why graphic design?
Before I started the study, I was already so in love with so many different aspects of the designing process! I did it quite a lot in my spare free time.
What I did? I made “skins” for a game that I used to play for hours on end every day!
To put it in short, I was basically redesigning the UI/User Interface to a different theme, and during this process I have learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t in terms of how things look when making a user interface that is easy on the eyes.
Future plans...
Life doesn’t always go the way I want it to go and I am fully prepared for anything that awaits me in the future, but i would absolutely love to create more illustrations like design mascots!
I am open for a challenge and I have been dabbling in some UI design as well as website design which I have been enjoying quite a bit lately as well.
